Safe on the Baltic
In the maritime sector, we move so smoothly that more and more organizations begin to cooperate with us. This year, we mediate in insuring, among others, drilling platforms on the Baltic Sea. Thanks to our brokers, the extraction of hydrocarbons from the bottom of the Baltic is adequately insured.
We insure strategic investments in the country
We insure the development investment of one of the leading Polish mining conglomerates – the largest refinery expansion in Central Europe. Its processing capacity is estimated at over 10 million tons.
We actively educate – Broker Skills Program
We start regular lectures for higher education institutions. We want students interested in insurance issues to have access to practical knowledge. Our goal is to raise insurance awareness. As part of the Broker Skills Program, we offer internships and practical training.
We are quality – ISO 9001
We have tangible evidence that our actions in the field of quality management systems are headed in the right direction. This is confirmed by the ISO 9001 certificate. From this year onwards, we continuously operate in accordance with this standard!
IT Solutions for the Public Sector
We meet our clients and their needs halfway. We create and implement IT systems for risk management and integrated insurance programs for local government units (JST). We call it "City Policy." The created website facilitates processes related to policy management and claims handling. Importantly, it is still functioning to this day.
We insure shale gas drilling in Poland
We provide insurance for the first shale gas drilling in Poland. To achieve this, we explore possible solutions, and we find suitable coverage on the London market. This unconventional approach is appreciated, and the drillings are adequately protected.
Risks of construction and operation of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway under control
Thanks to a flexible approach and the application of innovative solutions, we support the insurance service for the expansion of the PMR. In the following years, we efficiently handle the settlement of incurred damage (damage to the construction embankment), valued at 20 million PLN.
Modern risk management mechanisms (IT applications)
What sets us apart in the market is the creation of our own IT tools. For internal needs, and above all, external ones – for our clients. Thanks to proprietary IT solutions, we improve and streamline processes, while recipients of these technical programs continuously ensure safety and control risk management in their organizations.
We assess risk – we introduce Preventive Engineering Support
We adhere to the principle of "first check – then insure." Our Manager for Assessment audits clients' activities. They get to know their businesses by verifying current policies but also by visiting the site of their operations. Thanks to this service, many of our clients, among others, have reduced the costs of their policies.
Global Relations - Trust Risk Control
We join the Trust Risk Control association. Thanks to this collaboration, we can operate on every continent in the world and stay up-to-date with the latest insurance trends. Our clients also benefit from participating in TRC when they need policies in foreign markets.
External Relations and CSR
We already have a solid position, so we know we need to act responsibly. Therefore, we appoint Monika Lewandowska as Advisor to the Board for External Relations and CSR. A graduate of the Economics Faculty of the University of Gdańsk, she manages our strategy considering social interests, environmental protection, and relations with various stakeholder groups.
STBU in the MAK Group
As of February 14, 2019, we are now part of the MAK Group. This makes us the largest brokerage entity with exclusively Polish capital. Leveraging our strengths, we aim to achieve even greater efficiency and effectiveness in our activities through synergy projects.
Risk Analysis Center (digital solutions) - Keeping Claims under Control
We develop and implement modern IT solutions for unforeseen events. The C.A.R. service streamlines the claims and incident reporting process and allows for real-time data viewing and reporting for intelligent risk management. This enables our clients to have continuous contact with STBU experts.
